Angela

Angela, is our Business Development Manager, she is skilled in identifying opportunities, shaping bid strategies, and communicating Candid’s value proposition—emphasising quality, innovation, and compliance. She is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the overall strategic direction of Candid with a focus on long-term goals and competitive advantage. She is responsible for procurement tenders and company policies as-well-as updates in accreditations and ISO tasks.



A trusted point of contact for clients and collaborators alike, Angela is known for her consultative approach, commercial acumen, and ability to translate technical capability into compelling business outcomes. Her contributions are instrumental in positioning Candid Construction Scotland as a reliable and agile partner for large-scale residential, education, and public sector projects delivered via MMC.

Angela is passionate about Community Wealth Building initiatives and social value impact; she regularly reaches out to community-ran organisations/local schools to assist them in Developing the Young Workforce events throughout the year. She actively finds ways to initiate and hold those ‘difficult’ but meaningful conversations around community. With having had a teaching background for 20 years in EK she recognises that through having positive role models and more youth investment in community can and should, influence a lot of social & health challenges, and should be faced head on! She doesn’t shy away from this, and will challenge when appropriate! She condones and endorses change in the community!

She champions supporting a more efficient and sustainable built environment and is committed to helping clients meet Net Zero and social value goals through strategic construction partnerships.

Angela is a highly effective communicator and efficiently communicates in tandem with private and public clients. She builds trusting and nurturing relationships with all of our staff and the wider community; which includes communicating in a compassionate, and sensitive manner with new apprentices coming on board from colleges in Scotland through CITB and the Tigers Group. She proves to be an asset to the company bringing transferable personal and professional skills such as organisation, creativity, communication and patience with a commitment and drive to achieve excellence in reaching the visions of our clients, staff, the wider community & our company.
